Children's Church School
This year, we had to cancel our weekly Friday afternoon church school program because Corby Varness, our leader, had surgery on one of her ankles.  We will miss every one of the children!

St. Mark's has offered a wonderful Godly Play church school for many years. It was held after school on Fridays from 3 - 4:15pm (or on early release days, from 12:30 - 1:45pm).   We start with a delicious snack and enjoy fellowship around the table. The children enjoy singing ACTIVE songs with lots of movement and fun.  Our lessons are shared upstairs where we light the candle to remind us of the presence of God. Through Godly Play, children are taught the art of using religious language - parable, sacred story, and silence - to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. Everyone is encouraged to wonder, question and discuss the lessons. There is plenty of time for creative play, games and fellowship after the lesson.

Most children take the bus to the high school and then walk to St. Mark's from there. Children of all ages are welcome.  Please contact Corby Varness, corkev@comcast.net or at 249-3888 for more information.

Weekly Bible Study

St. Mark's offers a weekly Adult Bible study, from 10 - 11:30am on Wednesdays at the church.  This study is normally based on the coming Sunday service's bible reading from the lectionary, but can have other themes depending on the church season or the study group's desires.  This study is usually led by one of our priests, Lorraine or Bonnie, but it is a highly participatory activity for everyone there and there is no preparation for each week's study required.  Come and join us!
