Weekly Bible Study

St. Mark's offers a weekly Adult Bible study, from 10 - 11:30am on Wednesdays, at the church.  This Wednesday study is normally based on the coming Sunday service's bible reading from the lectionary, but can have other themes depending on the church season or the study group's desires.    These studies are led by one of our priests, Lorraine or Bonnie, or by other leaders in our church, but it is a highly participatory activity for everyone there and there is no preparation for each week's study required.  Come and join us!

Children's Church School
We have no organized weekly children's church school on Sundays at this time, due to lack of children and help to plan for these activities.

St. Mark's offered for almost 20 years a wonderful Godly Play church school. It was last held after school on Fridays from 3 - 4:15pm (or on early release days, from 12:30 - 1:45pm).   We started with a delicious snack and enjoyed fellowship around the table. The children enjoyed singing ACTIVE songs with lots of movement and fun.  Our lessons were shared upstairs where we lit the candle to remind us of the presence of God. Through Godly Play, children were taught the art of using religious language - parable, sacred story, and silence - to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. Everyone was encouraged to wonder, question and discuss the lessons. And, there was plenty of time for creative play, games and fellowship after the lesson.

Most children took the bus to the high school and then walked to St. Mark's from there. Children of all ages were welcome.
